In Rhineland-Palatinate
mother nature had one of her days and as a consequence
exotic plants thrive in the middle of this Central-European
region. The "Subtropischer
Park" (subtropical park) in
Gleisweiler, creates Germany’s mildest climate
making it possible to experience a landscape comparable
to those in southern Europe.
The grounds of the Gartenschau (garden
show) in Kaiserslautern also offer many attractions.
From the middle of April
to the end of October the prehistoric world comes to
life in the Dinosaur garden. In the Japanese garden
one is submerged in the exotic botany of the far-east.
And in the culture garden you can experience music
from the four corners of the globe. For the sporty,
the activities garden offers many ways to exhaust your-self.
In April 2004 the garden show moves to Trier.
