The
Mosel is curvaceous and markedly so at the Moselschleife
near Bremm. Its
wines are as lively as the river and enjoy an excellent
reputation world wide. In particular, the Riesling wines
get the fanatic’s palates tingling. As in the Middle-Rhine,
the wine here grows in impressively steep vineyards, ensuring
the best possible sun light, thus guaranteeing a quality
wine.
The Mosel is dotted with picturesque
towns and villages: Zell, Kröv, Bernkastel-Kues,
Traben-Trabach. In the summer they all offer a wide range
open air entertainment.
The largest towns on the Mosel are the Roman town of Trier,
and the town of
Koblenz where
the Mosel meets the Rhein.
