The romance
of the Rhine
The fairytale landscape of the Middle-Rhine
has been the theme of poetry and song for centuries.
The romantic
town of Loreley and its saga is for many foreigners
something as traditionally German as the Oktoberfest.
In 2003 the region was officially declared
a world heritage sight by UNESCO. A visit is to be
recommended,
particularly during the Rhine-in-Flames festival,
the name given to a collection of illuminated
festivals and firework displays that take place along
the
river. Events, that will ignite your fantasy and
perhaps even desire.
