Gliding
Two clubs share the airport in the middle of the nature reserve of Landau/Palatinate: the DJK Segelfluggemeinschaft and the AERO-Club Landau. Members of the Segelflugvereins Vulkaneifel may experience a bird’s eye view of the Eifel with its maars. Further up north in the Rhine Valley the Aero-Club Koblenz goes gliding, and in the provincial capital aviation can be practised with the Luftfahrtverein Mainz.
