The Kyll-Radweg differs
a little from the others in Rhineland-Palatinate. It
also follows a river, though is
more marked by the heavy woodland of the Eifel. You
can accompany the Kyll for 115 km between Hallschlag
and Trier as she makes her way to the Mosel.
A little more physically demanding, at
least on the way up, is the 53 km Maare-Mosel-Radweg,
that runs from Daun, in the Eifel into Lieser in Moseltal.
But
the effort is worth it as you get to enjoy to
geographically diverse regions. Particularly the Maare,
volcanic lakes, in the volcanic
landscape of the Eifel are unforgettable.
