Those who prefer it woody should take the Naheradweg, which winds it’s way 120 km through south Hunsrück from Nohfelden down to Bingen. The most beautiful part lies between Niederhausen and Bad Münster.

Although there are no longer any robbers in Hunsrück, the infamous "Schinderhannes“, an 18th century bandit, still captures the imagination of this region. On the Schinderhannesradweg around the town of Simmern one can follow the historical trail of this Hunsrück scallywag.
