Hunsrück,
with its extensive woodland and fields, is perfect
for the passionate hiker. As well as countless smaller
pathways
there are also many made for long hikes, like the Ausoniusweg,
so named after the Roman poet, which stretches over 100
km from Bingen to Trier.
For those interested in history we
recommend the Sirona-Weg.
You can walk around 90 km from Bundenbach to Alteburg
through Celtic cultural monuments in the Hunsrück
area.
Those who would like to enjoy the
unique river and mountain landscape of the Mittelrhein
should choose the Rheinhöhenweg which
follows the Rhine-side peaks from Oppenheim to Koblenz
(and still further to Bonn) giving you an outstanding
view of the valley.
